Appearance

  • Adult — 3–4mm in length. Eyes are close together (as seen from the underside). Last three segments of the antennae form a club.
  • Larva — as T. confusum.

Lifecycle

  • Similar to T. confusum except maximum and minimum development temperatures are 2.5°C higher.

Habits

  • Will fly at high temperatures.
  • Feeds on cereals, nuts, spices and dried fruit.
